Description
Giant Girl's mother back in her heyday, from the webcomic Giant Girl Adventures
To my eye at this point, as a singular pinup at least, this is Koen's opus magnum. This is the one that blows me away every time I see it. I think he studied his Capulo for this one.
I liked bringing Dakota to life, actually. In some ways she does represent some of my personal boogeymen, but I tried to breathe some life and motivation into her, and hopefully even some sympathy. After all, it isn't a truly great monster unless there is some sympathy for it. I like the name too- it's snappy, while the Exaggerated Woman(tm) tag is kinda clunky, yet accurate.
Koen really did come through with her design. It wasn't exactly what I asked for, but the silky puddling drape of a size-changing Spawn/Batman trenchcoat that he gave her definitely made up for any quibbles I might have voiced.
My sexy size-changing goth girl who becomes a hulking rageaholic. Groupie to a thousand concerts, grew up to be Virginia Woolf's Liz Taylor. Always broke, always on the move, the hard-luck drifter heroine.
Who probably misses her little sidekick more than she'd ever admit.
We'll run into Dakota again, most likely when somebody else dies. I actually don't have any current plans for her until we do the space saga, because she and Fred are going to be Ronni's ticket off-planet. But that arc is still a long ways off, so this is also likely to be the last time we see mommy dearest for a while. At least we left you a good memory of her, hm?
